[name removed] is an amazing physiotherapist. Kind. Considerate. Empathic. Professional and extremely knowledgable. She was able to reassure me in on concerns that my Gp just dismissed as 'pain I would have to live with' to show me pra tical ways to gently regain my strength to live with significantly reduced pain and the ability to walk again. Thank you for enabling me to have access to this a. Amazing service and support.

Before I got access to [name removed] and the physiotherapy support and the counsel from the I tevrated spine pain team, Theale GP surgery administration were very unkind and resistant to helping me! Even though I was in so much pain I was unable to look after myself and my son, unable to walk or work. [name removed] and indeed all the staff at Thatcham Hospital physiotherapy team respect my views, hear my concerns and help me to recover. Thank you for listening and helping me to get better.

[name removed] was extremely professional, his knowledge and understanding of my injury was amazing. I feel that he went above and beyond to make sure that I was completely reassured and put at ease and spent a considerable amount of time listening to me despite obvious pressures. Please pass on my thanks to [name removed] for the great care he provided superstar !! Keep up the good work in a society full of unreasonable expectations and complaints [name removed] was an ambassador for your service !!

Review of Minor Injuries Unit – West Berkshire Community Hospital (WBCH)

I visited the minor injuries unit after a referral via 111. When I arrived the nurse at reception was very kind and lovely. She welcomed me and was approachable . The nurse who was responsible for my treatment however, seemed indifferent about my situation. He did offer options for treatment and it was clear that I was nervous and worried but he didn’t offer any words of reassurance. Instead i got “up to you” and “it depends” as a response for every question I asked. I understand medical professionals may not have all the answers but I didn’t feel comforted or at ease. He asked me if had cleaned my wound and I informed him I had only cleaned with a damp cotton pad however, I’m concerned he didn’t offer to clean my wound himself given how deep it was. I just got the feeling he wanted me out asap.
